Is the screen that is difficult to understand. Be very careful with the goat before the days of the week. When you make a temperature input applied to each day has a tick and delete what has already been entered. You have to go through days two times to remove the marks from the other days to enter data in a single day. There is space on the screen to show all your heating and cooling temperature settings for each day of the week, but forgot to leave this way is very difficult to check their tickets to make sure they are accurate and to correct the wrong selection from above. 28 of 33 people found this review helpful. The cabling can be complicated by Spud This review is from a rookie. I replaced a thermostat for 11 years, with this installation one yesterday morning was not a breeze, as indicated on the package would have us believe (that is "designed to install in 15 minutes or less.") We have a 5 split-ton central unit with condenser outside the house, and coil, and a gas furnace in the attic. Matching wires to new thermostat was not so simple. Our old system has 5 wires, but a place to use the wizard only shows an example with 4 wires. After failing some configurations, I finally gave up and asked for technical support. The puzzle was solved then. Programming was the most simple and easy but not always intuitive. You have to read the manual to understand some things. An alternative would be 8500 model touchscreen, which seems to have a more intuitive programming based on user reviews from Amazon. Overall, I would recommend this thermostat. An owner of non-technical experience in the installation and use of this thermostat. In MacHankStein I bought two of these thermostats on the Amazon site and installed them just before the Memorial Day weekend I am very happy with two thermostats, but I had problems installing the thermostat upstairs. Even though I had turned the switch marked for the upper and lower heat pumps for their position in the panel, heat pump upstairs was still on, because I missed a fuse of the heat pump during installation. Obviously, this problem was caused by a lack of diligence on my part - to ensure that the power of the heat pump and thermostat was really. My wife and I went without air conditioning on the top floor of our house for about 30 hours for a mechanic arrived to find and replace the blown fuse, if you are one meter volt ohm, I suggest you check that no power thermostat for installation. In connection with the installation itself, you will find that you are in the hands of the pipes of your old thermostat. For example, in our old floor thermostat, there is no common thread. By Gipfeli I bought this thermostat because its sleek design, with all the checks that are not needed every day is hidden under the hood. If you live a very simple program, this thermostat will work for you follow. But if you leave the house in the country illegally and you do not want to keep the house warm while you're away, do not. The problem is that if you leave home and to manually stop the temperature, the temperature will return for two hours. This is neither on the box or documented in the manual. But if you call their hotline, they say. So the options are to close the program, every time you leave the house, but then let the module to the front that this device far more ugly than the messy race (the program button is hidden) is. Easy to install, operate by David Caruso, I had an old Honeywell "The Tour" and wanted to replace mercury thermostat with a programmable. Honeywell chose this model because of its reputation, and because it is a backlit version of one of the most popular models. The instructions are quite clear on how to install. The only hard part is figuring out what wire you use in your home, that way of course, can not know. In an old house with an old thermostat, can be a problem if the wires are not labeled or color coded, but I was able to run smoothly. The thermostat has two programs, one for one week and on weekends ... very easy to configure. It comes preprogrammed with the Energy Saver program proposed. You can temporarily override the program to get the house warmed up a bit more by changing the temperature .. then automatically revert to your playlist. Well for two gas ovens for wire BULLSHIT instructions not know if this works on a 2-wire furnace, but it does. Just install the red wire in the groove existing RC (which comes with a jumper over a Rh-room left). Connect the white wire to the W slot and it works fine. Removed an old two wire mercury switch. Only took me 15 minutes to complete the installation. I like the big screen and 7-day program that my old unit had. The instruction for the creation of the program is very easy to use. The only complaint is that the backlight, but only last 2 to 5 seconds and has a backlight button. In order to see at night, you have to press any buttons. When you press any button, the light comes on, but also change the configuration. You have to press the new timetable for implementation to keep normal. It is the only annoying part. This was a Consumer Reports "best buy models from last year (the other lux). I also really like Lux programming button that programming easier with the wheel, there are less obscure key combinations to use. Installation is simple and straightforward . The display on the 1,500 th is quite large and has an electroluminescent backlight that is activated by pressing a button. I'm farsighted, but the screen can read without my glasses. The 1,500 th thermostat is a 5-1-1, but also a "special" schemes that can be used for holiday or vacation make this a 5-1-1-1 thermostat. I found the program to quickly and easily and the device works as advertised. I have a complaint or a whim of the complaint mentioned: The manual is not the best. In particular, there is little explanation of the swing function or what the numbers really mean swing. I sent an email to Lux and received a call the next day with a detailed explanation. Great customer service! For the record, the balance of the establishment figures correlate with quarter degrees (the instructions should indicate, but no). Best thermostat with remote control perfect for serious Sirius User I bought a programmable thermostat LUX TX9000RF wanted to be able to remotely control my AC and heat from my bedroom for those times when I want to make minor changes in temperature. Installation was easy, clear instructions and it works perfectly. I threw my old Honeywell thermostat setback as the Lux has a number of well-defined energy efficiency programs. I highly recommend this unit for those who want better control of the AC or heat in odd times. Dickerson, I bought two of these - you heat and air (above) and one cycle to control the air in the house when the staircase is too cold - to control a bit down the fan. They are easy to program and work well. Review of Tom Sawyer thermostat These thermostats are great, but I like the TX500 previous (non "E") the best models because they switch back and forth with a digital readout of temperature setting and actual room temperature. My experience with Lux thermostats is that they are easily programmed and is very affordable. You should also note that a thermostat with a rear light may be relevant to those without.
