Dickerson, I bought two of these - you heat and air (above) and one cycle to control the air in the house when the staircase is too cold - to control a bit down the fan. They are easy to program and work well. When me and I discovered they were not large enough to cover the cabinets to the wall, I emailed the manufacturer to their site and they sent me two pieces of wall-free forms. 7 of 7 people found this review helpful. Easy to program Lux TX500E; could use light of Bill Key Lux 500E Thermostat is easy to install and easy to program. Can easily adjust the temperature without opening the cover by pressing the outer up or down arrow [1 degree per click]. I rate only 4 stars because it is a light and a display label is too small, that is difficult to read. Wall plate costs only $ 2.0 00 and gives a pleasant aspect that I bought both the thermostat and wall plate at the same time from Amazon but shipped from different locations, the record came a few days after the thermostat. 6 of 6 people found this review helpful. Review of Tom Sawyer thermostat These thermostats are great, but I like the TX500 previous (non "E") the best models because they switch back and forth with a digital readout of temperature setting and actual room temperature. My experience with Lux thermostats is that they are easily programmed and is very affordable. You should also note that a thermostat with a rear light may be relevant to those without.
